Hi Parents,

In computers this is what we did the week of September 13th.

Kindergarten -  Has been learning how to logon to the computer.  They type their user name and password.  It has taken some time to get use to this, but they are catching on! 

1st - .Has been learning how to logon to the computer.  They type their user name and password.  We also have been working on identifying computer parts and learning what they do.

2nd  - Has been working on identifying computer parts and what they do.  Also, 2nd grade has been working on mouse skills at MouseProgram.com 

3rd &4th - We are doing a webquest that will help us learn some of the computer terms and procedures needed to use computers at SMSA School.

5th - .  They are researching and presenting what the parts inside a computer do and then presenting their findings in a  computer parts poster

6th -   Finishing Introduction to computers at:  http://educate.intel.com/en/TheJourneyInside/ExploreTheCurriculum/EC_IntroductionToComputers/.

7th - .Working on Researching a computer part and presenting their findings in poster form..

8th - Just finished learning about how computers create and present digital information at http://educate.intel.com/en/TheJourneyInside/ExploreTheCurriculum/EC_DigitalInformation/.  We will begin learning about the microprocessor next week.
